Wow! What a great movie! It is by far the best Harry Potter film yet. Harry Potter is no longer a movie targeted at children which is a welcomed change. This movie is a lot darker and doesn’t polarize good and evil like its predecessors. Also, not only does the film have a good plot, the special effects were incredible. After seeing Transformers and Spiderman 3, I was starting to think that a good plot line and special effects couldn’t mix. This is by far my favorite movie this summer (the movie 300 was a close second). This is a movie you have to see at the theater.

I just completed a book called Eragon. For those you haven’t heard about the book, here is a summary of it (written on the back of the book).

When Eragon finds a polished blue stone in the forest, he thinks it is the lucky discovery of a poor farm boy; perhaps it will buy his family meat for the winter. But when the stone brings a dragon hatchling, Eragon soon realizes he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire.
Overnight his simple life is shattered, and he is thrust into a perilous new world of destiny, magic, and power. With only an ancient sword and the advice of an old storyteller for guidance. Eragon and the fledgling dragon must navigate the dangerous terrain and dark enemies of an Empire roled by a kind whose evil knows no bounds. Can Eragon take up the mantle of the legendary Dragon Riders? The fate of the Empire may rest in his hands.

The book has an awesome story that sucks you into it. The summary does a poor justice to the book. However, I wouldn’t call it a masterpiece. The writing quality could have been a lot better. Also, I feel the writer, Christopher Paolini, could have done more research for his universe. He seems to give you only enough information about the universe to tell the story. This makes the universe seem flat. Anyways, over all, I think it is a good book and look forward to read his second book.

Check out this video. It is a banned X-Box Commerial. I have no idea why they banned it. I have seen far worse things on commerials. I think people are way to serious sometimes. Being a grown-up is boring… I plan on never becoming one.

I heard the funniest thing on The Hour yesterday about President Bush’s trip to Albania. While President Bush was getting a hero’s welcome, someone stole his watch. My theory is that it all was clever ploy by the Albanians to nab the president’s watch. Really, think about… who would cheer that much for the president. Even his own country hates him.
