The pains of Gallery 2

For the last couple days I’ve been trying to get Gallery 2 working on my website. What a pain in a butt it is turning out to be.
For those designing Web 2.0 applications…. DON’T USE A REPORTING LANGUAGE FOR YOUR UI THEME TEMPLATES. It makes it a pain to integrate into the rest of your website.
I finally found an easier way to integrate Gallery 2 though. I am using a wordpress plugin for Gallery 2 called WPG2. I almost have everything integrated. The only problem I’m having is getting album permissions to work correctly. For some reason, the plugin circumvents Gallery 2 permissions system. It works when you are signed in as admin, but not for any other users.
